Even on my first night of being able to drink, I qualified why I was doing it and came up with a 'no'. I guess I've really done a number on myself this year! :)
I didn't end up drinking at 2am because I didn't think it would add any value to the experience I was having. I look forward to giving it a 'yes' sometime soon, but it will have to be for the right reasons.
Wow. One year. One year of change, evolution and freedom. I'm 23 years old and my life has never been more full. I stand here, solid, at the precipise of adventure, love and connection - consciously aware.
I have no idea where the winds of time will carry me in 2010, but I've shaped a boat this year that has a sail built for the strongest of gushes and a hull that can stand in the stormiest weather. Bring it on!!
I know i will do things this year that 99.9% of people don't believe possible and i know the other 0.1% are standing right there next to me to push me along.
So, how can I sum it all up?...
I no longer fear anything. I've grown to appreciate every single conscious moment, not just those that are paid for. I believe in the magic of intention. I believe in myself. I believe in you. I believe in a better way.

That is so awesome to read. I gave up alcohol in March 2008 and am constantly amazed at my achievements and the miriad of changes that have taken place. I never even began to think that I would be standing here two years later also with a life so full ready to push the boundaries of my potential yet again in 2010.
I admire you for having had the ability to do this not just for yourself but also for the betterment of our Youth. I went through my changes without support from a single ‘friend’. Who knows where they are now, probably still sitting at the bar where I left them.
