My first sober wedding

Well I did it! I survived my first wedding without drinking and I had an absolute ball. I am very proud of myself disciplinary efforts and was surprised to see that I was one of the last people standing on the dance floor at 2.30am. I had some great conversations with various friends and guests and remember the entire evening. The next day I was a little weary but enjoyed not waking with a killer hangover. A big milestone has been achieved and I\’m feeling great. Happy Day Ten!

Let the fun begin…

I\’ve been thinking about giving up the booze for a long time now and after much deliberation I\’ve finally decided to give it a crack. I have had a couple of four-week breaks over the past three years which were good but I think it\’s time to take a longer break. I have had way too many boozy sessions over the past ten years and am so sick of waking up with a pounding headache and having to apologise to family and friends for my actions from the night before. Unlike some of my (lucky) friends who get drunk and sway, I am a loud and obnoxious drunk who just goes over the top. I always regret my actions and am disgusted with my alcohol-fuelled behaviour.
