Gave up drinking alcohol as a new years eve resolution in Dec 2000. Figured that I could take it or leave it so I left it for awhile. That was 11 years ago and over the years I have come to realise the pervasive nature of alcohol which is ingrained into the fabric and nature of our society. We are a society of functioning alcoholics fundamentally.
