http://www.thecourier.com.au/news/local/news/general/amy-going-cold-turkey-in-ballarat-boozefree-campaign/2407130.aspx A HEALTH promotions officer has made a pact of sobriety as her New Year’s resolution, and she is determined for her abstinence from alcohol to make a difference.   Amy Johnson will cut booze from her diet cold turkey, turning the first day of the new year into the inaugural day of a three-month alcohol-free campaign. I don’t know why I’m so nervous, but I am. Not drinking alcohol for 12 weeks… it feels like starting a diet where you can’t eat meat or carbs, or sleeping next to Oralndo Bloom and being told you can’t touch him.  Being able to go out with my friends, but not being able to drink… welcome to the world of social retardation. I’ve never thought of myself conservative, but compared to my drunk friends, I’ll sure look it during the next couple months.  I know that I need to find things to do on the weekends to keep myself occupied!! Setting myself the goal of running 10kms by the end of the 12 weeks is a good start, but as for the rest of the time… suggestions?
