When I saw this site advertised on TV I signed up immediately, thinking there was no mountain of abstinence too high for me to climb. Now I’m actually coming to grips with the idea of one whole year without alcohol. *gulp*. Surely the pinnacle will be my little sister’s 21st in November. If I survive that I’ll be able to survive anything. Since I began drinking at 17 I have quit the devil juice for a month before – twice actually. At the end of the first month, when I was 26, I met my girlfriend. Then I immediately began drinking again. At the end of the second month, some three years later, we broke up.
