Distractions!

Successful weekend – instead of moping around the house I actually managed to get a few things done. Every time I thought \”maybe just one glass of wine – it\’s the weekend\”, I distracted myself by doing things I\’ve been meaning to for a while, like phoning a few friends for a quick chat. I\’ve been known to be the \’life/laugh of the party\’, which I hope to be again, but without the alcohol. I\’ve been through a period of sobriety before and no matter how many times I said \’No thanks\’ people didn\’t let up. My usual excuse is \’I\’m driving\’, but that doesn\’t seem to matter. \’Just have one!\’. If I have one, I know I\’ll have 6. This week is about saying no.
