After 10 days off the booze and probably the worst week i’ve ever had to date i definatly thought on many occasions that this was probably not the best timing to be tackling my 3 months off the drink! After some serious encouragement to drink from numerous people I nearly cracked. The thing that kept me from giving in however was the thought that no matter whether i drank it wasn’t going to change any of the crappy things that had happened and i would feel just as bad if not worse in the morning. Its been so tempting this week but through it all i’ve managed to stay strong and say no to the many times i have wanted to have a drink to solve my problems. The Turning Point

I  have never been an overly excessive drinker. It wasn’t the fact that I drink too often that first made me think of registering with HSM. After a particular couple of ‘messy’ nights and the realisation that I had no memory or recollection was what inspired me to take on the 3 months sober! It was a scary thought to not know how I got home and had I not been in a familiar place the extremity of what could have happened could of been far from just the seriously bad hangover I had at the weekend! This was primarily the reason I first decided to register, however I also see it as a good opportunity to save money which I am desperatly trying to do for university. Thankyou to the lovely Spencer twins who inspired me with their HSM’s last year x
