Hello, this is my first ever ‘blog’ of any sort whatsoever. The HSM concept is something I’ve been thinking about doing for a long time, I just didn’t know how to go about it. So reading the article in Qweekend was a ‘lightbulb’ moment and I knew I had to do it. I grew up in a loving, close, happy family, but one that uses alcohol at every social opportunity, so I have grown up assuming you had to drink to have fun. When younger, I was proud of my ability to outlast most people and be the last one standing – and drinking. There have been examples of alcohol abuse by some family members (including me) but there are also members who can quite happily have 1 or 2 drinks, stop,  and still enjoy themselves.
