I'm 29 and want to give up alcohol for good. I've been drinking regularly since I was 16 (always social), however, for the last year or so I've realised that it's causing me problems. I don't like my personality when I'm drunk but don't know who I am without it. I'm really positive that absteining could be the best thing I ever do, although, I'm anxious that my family and friends will find it difficult as drinking is such a big part of our social time together. My husband is supportive, although I can tell he wishes I could just be a moderate social drinker like he is (I've tried it and I can't).
Improve Health
Avoid depressing effects of alcohol.
Improve personal relationships.
Reverse trend of increasing alcohol consumption.
Save money.
