Like many others I'm a social drinker that has developed a taste and appetite that is considerable yet unfortunately deemed acceptable. I have no problem going without during the week, I always eat healthy food (when not drinking whereas i may reach for takeaways) and work out in high energy sports. When the weekend arrives I often use boredom as an excuse and find it difficult to keep my drinking to a minimum at the many social events we get invited too (or even just at home with my partner). I can't recall the last time I went a month without drinking and need this challenge to reaffirm to myself that there is more to life than this - more to life than the next sit down session. It will be hard I know......
