So the big adventure is about to begin. I will be moving three hours from home on saturday to start Uni in Melbourne, and holy crap am I scared. I really dont feel ready at all. Right now I could not be more pleased with my decision to start with HSM. If I had a drink I would get even more anxious than I already am. Everyone I have spoken to about Uni has asked about the parties, the drinking, the drugs, the sex and NOTHING about my studies. I just want to learn, eat, work, party, sleep and wake up feeling great. I want to use the very little amount of money that I will have for food and save what i can for tattoos and holidays. Why hello Sunday morning indeed,

I’m laying in bed at 7:30 am on my second Sunday in and feel great. I wasnt a big drinker before this, but I most likely would have felt a little under the weather on a Sunday. I do feel a little ill but that’s just nerves in anticipation for moving away next week. There is so much happening in my life right now and I’m going a little mental. Gah.

I must apologise, three days in and i have failed to make a post. I kicked off on Saturday after a great night with a bunch of mates i havent seen since high school and it was great. Potbelly fire keeping us warm in the shed and enough fish and chips to feed an army, but even regardless of how much fun i was having with the beers i knew i was ready to say goodbye to it for a while.After a few years of dealing with mental illness, losing many loved ones, a heart wrenching break up and some tertiary opportunities lost i have realised that its time to get back on track and alcohol was not helping me to get any better.So this journey means two things for me, 1) to help practise what i preach to the young people i work with in my role as Youth [...]
