My first hurddle

Week 2: With the weekend approching I am experiencing my first concern about my level of enjoyment at an alcohol event. I’m attending a house party with a group of people who are known for their love of the booze. Out of all my friends, these are the ones who are the least supportive/understanding of my HSM. Although I won’t be tempted to have a drink, my concern is that I won’t have as much fun as I would if I’d been drinking, purely because I know how quickly these friends use alcohol as a socil lubricant. My current strategy is to constantly have something in my hand (as Red Frog boss Andy Gourley suggests, it is crutial in Australian social culture to always have something in your hand), and to let my inhibitions go and get as crazy as everyone else!

The Party continues

Week 1: After going through a week of partying completly sober, I have had my eyes opened to several things. I\’d first like to say that I had a great week and hit the dance floor pretty hard! During this week I witnessed; a flash of someones undies, a bum cheek, a few spews, some pretty shocking hangovers, and a boob. I even took one person to hospital (they\’re ok) and spent an hour putting a girl to bed. I found it interesting to be on the side of the fence that didn\’t experience the damaging dignity, yet still managed to have a great time with my friends!
