Today I signed up to HSM after spending my weekend considering the effect that not drinking for 3 months might have on my social life. I asked friends, Facebook and my family for their opions on how being sober for that period of time would affect not only me, but also the people in my life. I came to the following conclusions: That it would weed out the people who will always be there for me no matter what, from the people who become my best friends only when inebriated. I also figured it would be a little helpful on the health front – I’m trying to lose a few KGs i’ve stacked on in the past year that seem to have been helped along by the gallons of alcohol i’ve consumed in that year.
