I have just completed my second three month stint on HSM.  Did one last year, and this time I found it much easier, and I really enjoyed it.  Went out last night, Hubby’s 60th, and had a few beers and wines.  It was ok, having the drinks, but I’m not hung over today like everyone else.  Interesting!!  Guess my body wasn’t just having a ‘top up’ with alcohol.  It’s just had a glorious three month detox (:  I’ll probably do an HSM each year now.  Thank you again Chris Raine and all the best with extending this much needed initiative internationally.  Cindy (: btw – I did lose 5kgs this time!

20 more sleeps til I finish my second 3 month HSM stint. And, gee, I’ve had a few reasons to have a wine or three during this time. But I love waking up each morning fresh and clear minded. Have lost 3kgs too, but I think the 8kg target is a little ambitious (: well, off for a walk now before it gets too hot here in the Kimberley where I’ll be for another 2 weeks. Broome, boasts of being the big drinking, tourist town. At least, by one operator!

I’m starting Week 7 today; half way through my 3 month stint. I’m still really enjoying the break from the booze. HSM seems to be much easier this time than last year’s attempt, which I did complete. Here I am for a month, in the HOT and muggy Kimberley weather where an icy cold beer goes down so well. But so does a soda or tonic water! I’m sleeping well too, under the fan – no air conditioning on. All’s good (:

Last night had dinner in town with hubby.  Thought I really needed a beer – since the night was muggy – and a glass of red with my yummy Italian meal, but no, I’m on HSM.  The lemonade was perfect.  Then we watched the amazing Les Studio de Cirque angels glide and float through the air, then dump buckets of feathers on us.  Thousands of people watched in delight – and the atmosphere was electric.  Who needs booze to have a great time ha ha.  Coffee and Tiramisu on the way home.  Those sweets were soaked in some liquer -but it didn’t even make me want to have another.  Life is good (:
