After reading David M’s last post about the misleading, inane advertising of the alcohol industry I have had an idea, a fun idea and I would like the HSM community to help with it. How about making spoof ads that have a very ‘fortitude valley cab line a 3:40 Sunday morning’ feel. I can provide the camera, lighting and editing equipment and the time on weekends. What I would like from you guys is storylines, actors, maybe a sound guy and anything you can offer that might contribute. I should also add that I am based in Brisbane. Being a reasonable human being, I don’t expect you to read over my previous posts just to understand this one, so, a brief re-cap… 29, male, from brisbane, tried to curb drinking habits in a healthy direction several times but always end up bingeing self destructively, 2 weeks into HSM I got a break in the film and television industry… Yep, that about covers it. Friday nights are the hardest night for me, I get anxious and agitated and can’t seem to occupy myself constructively. In the couple of hours leading up to the end of work, I become subconsciously aware of this rising excitement, something that ocurs naturally for me and has done so for almost half my lifetime and therefore deeply ingrained. As my title may suggest, I have been rather lax about posting here. Not because I am no longer enthusiastic about my HSM, far from it. Rather, things have taken a rather dramatic, unexpected and very welcome turn in my life and I have been really busy adjusting to it. Wow! This is certainly different. I am currently sitting on the front deck of the world renowned Beach Hotel in beautiful Byron Bay, with a clear head, cohesive memories of a great night, a wallet over flowing with unsquandered cash, a green tea (as opposed to my standard bloody mary) my trusty notebook and a day of sun, swimming and surf to look forward to.
