Hello, My name’s Don. Over the past year I’ve become increasingly dissatisfied with my drinking habits. Like many here, I drink socially with friends. Regrettably, this often means six or more drinks on a Friday night and an unproductive Saturday. I’ve just had enough. I suppose I personally drink (beyond the cultural influence) because it’s fun, it makes me feel more confident and I believe it will increase my chances of picking up. To a degree this might be true, but it doesn’t make it worthwhile. I’ll break it down. Fun: Drinking is fun but I can still have fun without it. I can still be silly and make bad jokes without it.
