Today is the 4th of January, I have now been sobert for 5 days. Already I feel more energised and invigorated, I find I am going to bed earlier and waking up earlier with a clear mind and am actually performing better at work. I am no longer living in a constant state of exhaustion and grabbing the bottle to cope with it. I have started a fitness regime that is going to be working towards my fitness goals and I think this is also contributing to the going to bed early part.  This morning I was thinking about all of the life decisions I have made in the past and what they have done to my life and how I live it. Happy Sober New Years Day!

I made it through the night without alcohol! Day One – NEW YEARS EVE!!
31/12/11 • 5 Comments

Well it is New Years Eve and I am preparing myself to spend the first New Years Eve EVER completely sober. I am freaking out a litte about how the night is going to go but the good news is I am surrounding myself with people who will not be drinking either so hopefully it will go ok. Shout out to Naomi Graham for getting me onto this website I feel so much better about doing this now I know there is a support network and know that I am not doing this alone. All of my friends binge drink and I think the hardest thing is going ot be adjusting to that so I don’t fall back into that trap.  Hope everyone out there has a great and sober New Years Eve!
