I'm in my 60's and life's been good to me. I have a great family and we share many get-togethers, accompanied by good food and alcohol. However, as I get older, I seem to be drinking more and feeling worse. I am aware of safe alcohol quantities, but can't seem to adhere to them. The only way I can reduce my intake is to abstain. I've got to the stage where I don't need alcohol to make me happy, in fact it doesn't! I'm keen on physical fitness and general health improvement, and push myself with staying physically fit. I now need to improve my mental fitness and I know this will happen if I abstain from alcohol for a while.
