Three months down, and not a drop of alcohol. Today I completed something that majority of my peers said i could never do. I may have said i would do this while i was drunk, but lucky due to my stubborn nature I went through with it anyway, and I’m so glad that i did. I’ve lost weight, saved money and learnt so much from this experience. Goals: Prove to myself i could do it…… Check Get fit……… Fail Create and understanding of why people drink…… Check From this experience i developed something that i never had before. I never realised how dependant i was on alcohol in social situations. Not necessarily because i needed to be drunk, but because of the security of having a beer in your hand. Cheese and Wine sober…

Last night i was MC at the first ever chifley cheese and wine night, the night is more based around being pompous than the actual cheese and wine though. Had an absolute blast, and everyone who attended seemed to have a great time as well. I just drank juice all night, but it helped create the illusion. I tried uploading the promo video i made for the event not sure if it worked though… Two months on saturday woo!

Staying strong…. Pun intended!

Half way through and I’m still going strong. Still getting craving but they arent affecting my nights out at all. This term at uni will be massive with so many social events on the calender but I’m really not worried as nights have still been awesome sober. Also some of us CSU Bathurst HSMers are planning a big event for when we finish so there is a lot to look forward to when we complete this successfully. So failer is not an option

Well who would have thought it! Another mate from uni has started a HSM, which brings us to a total of four. He may have given me slack at first but was definitly one of the first to get off my case about the not drinking out situation. Just want to wish you the best of luck mate, and have fun joining me and Coatsie sober at the last TBS pubrun for the year! WOO!
