I have proved I can not drink (hsm three months) and I have proved I can drink a lot and have terrible hangovers ! I am now committing to a further three month HSM and I am going to try and find forms of release that do not end up making you feel worse rather than better. Peace is my goal !

Hi  Two months down and beginning to think about what I will do once the three months are up . I have absolutely no desire to drink as I know there is no such think as moderation, certainly not for me . I may have 4/5 occasions when things go well but 1 in every 6 there will be an episode ! One of the surprising aspects of this experiment is how many of my friends \”manage\” their alcohol consumption and want to live differently . I am already seen as an example of how life can be lived as I have got out and socialised from day one and had a great and more \”real\” time.  It is so shocking that so many people feel powerless to resist the temptation of alcohol when it has so little going for it ! Merry Xmas and stay strong .

It is my company xmas party tonight and whilst I am confident I will stay on the wagon I am seriously worried about the shapes I may make on the dance floor !! It dawns on me that although I love dancing I have only ever done it drunk !   I’m sensing my bad knee will get me out of it ! Off now as I have volunteered to drive

Can’t believe how much I am enjoying this challenge ! I am loving the clarity being teetotal brings as well as brilliant sleep and great energy levels. This site is a massive high because of the group element and I hope everybody is feeling as “real” as me . My biggest danger is complacency !  Good luck to everybody !

One month in and I have been reflecting on life without alcohol and I described it to a friend as life in high definition. There is still good and bad but it all feels more real and therefore enhanced . Happy Saturday  !
