All or None

I haven’t posted in a while, but fear not, for I have not fallen off the wagon!  I have now been sober for 3 and a half months, and thus have completed my longest continuous stretch off the booze since becoming a regular drinker all those years ago! Initially I came back for my second HSM stint thinking that another three months would do the trick. But, two weeks into this stint I decided that three months wouldn’t do. So, three months became twelve months. My biggest inspiration for this was following the journery of the beloved HSMer, Claire. I started my first HSM around the same time as she started hers, the difference being that I wrapped up after three months and she continued on. Resolutions

So, I am a little late in posting my New Years Resolutions, but have the excuse that I was was busy caught up in real life adventures and either starting or preparing for said Resolutions.  Resolution #1 – Cleaner Living I want to live a cleaner and healthier lifestyle. Of course the first obvious step is to abstain from alcohol for a year (I’m five weeks into that), and then there’s healthy eating, exercise and becoming more in tune with my body, my mind and my soul.  I took up Yoga in the latter part of last year and it’s played a big part in giving me some clarity about what I want and who I want to be. It’s helped me to manage my stress better and it’s given me the time and ability to look at myself from an outside perspective. I’m looking to also take Meditation classes [...]

Today marks two weeks since I started this second stint at HSM. I was super excited to see that my post OMGWTFBBQ was linked on the HSM Newsletter which outlined Hello Sunday Morning\’s Vision for 2012! What an honour. It also gave me a good opportunity to spruik HSM to friends on Facebook and Twitter by claiming “Look here, I’M FAMOUS! Look here!” Narcissism? Yes! Effective? Yes! I’ve had quite a few friends ask me what this is all about, and I’ve had well wishes and support which is all nice. And I’ve now officially got FOUR people on the HSM Bangwagon for #12 in 2012! But now that I’ve got that out of the way… It’s been a rough few days. I have sensed that for a number of weeks now my body has been fighting like a mofo to stave off the cold/flu that has been going around. [...]
