Time for an update! The Queens Birthday long weekend was my first official weekend off the booze. I deliberately made few plans to avoid any temptation to hit the plonk. Friday night I stayed home, watched DVD’s, and cooked up an entire weeks worth of lunches. Saturday night was my friend’s birthday party. I spent half the night explaining HSM to everyone. This felt weird yet somewhat refreshing. I was having a good night, but as time went on everyone slowly got drunker, louder and funnier. I was jealous. The party moved up the road to a local bar and it was at this point that I bailed. I was home and in bed by 1am. Not a bad effort. Ironically enough I woke up Sunday morning with a headache. Woof! Yesterday my friend Lauren (we call her Poodle) outed my HSM challenge to a few friends via email. I wasn’t quite ready to announce my little secret, but I guess it was appropriate timing given the long weekend ahead. The responses varied from ‘are you pregnant’, to ”we now have a dedicated taxi driver!’. Despite the sarcasm, everyone was pretty supportive, but I could sense their doubtfulness. I have a birthday party tonight in the Valley (Happy b’day Ziggy Piggy), so let’s all raise our glasses to my sober night ahead! Cheers,  ~Savi

Woof! Happy hump day everyone! I finish work early on Wednesday’s so would normally ease myself into a few afternoon drinks at the pub with Mum and Dad. Instead I’m joining a friends PT session for the first time (ouch!). All that blood, sweat and tears would usually be rewarded with a few bottles of the vino. I look forward to seeing the look on my friends face when I explain HSM!

Woof! Welcome to my very first HSM blog. My full name is Sauvinon Blanc, but you may call me Savi! Just like the fine wine, I’m golden in colour and very lovable. I guess some of you may be wondering why my owner would call me after a bottle of wine eh? Well, just like I love my food – he loves his booze, alot! Actually, my original doggy name was Savannah (pretty eh?). Not for my owner. It reminded him of a snarky 15 year old girl that he teaches. Makes perfect sense, right!?! Moving on, a bit about me. I’m a two year old golden labrador. Very obedient. Enjoy nights in on the couch. Love my bones and walks along the beach. My owner, he’s 29 years old. Distructive on weekends.
