nearly lost it

I so nearly fell off the wagon today. Had a very horrible day at work going through redundancy processes (i’m the one having to hand them out, not on the receiving end). It’s soul destroying. I was so very tempted to have a few wines to numb the pain, but instead I poured my heart out to a good friend over the phone, cleaned up a bit more at work, watched some tv and am now going to bed alcohol free. Still not missing it. I do seem to be eating a bit more though. Anyone else doing that? Best part this week was training on Saturday morning. I never do that with a big hangover – that would be suicide! But I’ve certainly trained feeling a bit seedy or slightly worse for wear. This week I’ve already booked myself in for a massage for late on Friday afternoon so I’ll have to leave early. I’m not sure that ploy will work every week (and will also be a bit expensive!) so here’s hoping it becomes less of an issue as time goes on.
